Week 22 (2009/03/28)

It is good to see you again and know you all had a great March break!

We went through the test. It took so long that we only had time for lesson 10 and some drawing.

How was your March Break?

I will give back your 3rd test. Please bring a red pen this Saturday. We will use that to go through the test. Also bring some crayons or markers for the drawing.
Don't forget to give me back your homework: the name sheet!

Please submit to the office for summer school if you are interested.

I will be waiting in the gym as usual. See you then!

Week 21 (2009/03/07)

After singing in the gym, we did some review for today's test.
We did not have time for snacks. It took us longer then usual to finish the test. We sang songs afterward. The kids got some treats before they went home.

I hope everyone did well on the test.

• Everybody got a sheet with your name on it. Write on top of the "GRAY WORDS" to practice your writing. Fill up the whole page and give it back to me the next time you come back.

Summer School

Sorry! I forgot to hand out a note again.

Dear Parents, London Chinese School has been approved by London District Catholic School Board to open summer school, which will be from July 2 - July 24, 2009. (Monday ~ Friday, 9:00am ~ 12:30pm). I will have the registrations with me this weekend. You can sign up if your kids are interested before (in the gym) or after the class (when you pick up your kids at the classroom).

Test!

We are going to have a test this Saturday. It will only cover the lessons after mid-term.

Test coverage:

• Text Book 1 Lesson 7 to 9
  (中文修订版第1册 第7课 ~ 第9课)
• HanYu PinYin Book Lesson 9 to 14
  (汉语拼音 第9课 ~ 第14课)

You will be fine if you pay attention at class and do your homework.

Don't forget to write both your Chinese and English names on your test! The name cards will still be left on the desks for this test but not for the final exam!

Week 20 (2009/02/28)

We had a good start in the morning! There were only 5 students submitted to the drawing contest. We will find some time to do the drawings again.

We reviewed the phrases from lesson 7 to lesson 9 for the upcoming test. I am glad to hear a girl said: "We already learned that!" They did pay attention during classes!


I encouraged the kids to learn Pinyin well because it will be very useful in the future. We played a "Pinyin Bingo" game. Everybody got a prize when they said "bingo!"

After singing a new song, I gave them some treats before they headed home.
